What is the major reason why plasma TVs are being removed from shelves in electronics stores?
There has been talk about plasma televisions, no matter what the size, are being removed from shelves and stock rooms in electronics stores (i.e. Best Buy, P.C. Richard, etc.). Is there any particular reason why? I've heard that LCD TVs are better for consumers to utilize in their homes instead of the plasma types. Please advise.

I have heard that there is a giant gelatinous orb that has been abducting some of the smaller baby plasmas.
Maybe they’re trying to save the rest…
LCD’s are kind of taking over as you have noticed. One of the main reasons is that LCD’s are cheaper to manufacture and are lighter than plasmas (they don’t need to be made of glass like a plasma). To any manufacturer, cheaper and lighter means more profit – that is the bottom line.
