Selene 56 m aluminium ketch, represents the ultimate evolution of the successful 56m-series that have included sisterships SY Burrasca, SY Santa Maria and SY Rosehearty . Her design has been optimised by Perini Navi in consultation with Ron Holland Design to achieve high performance under sail. Perini Navi 's Interior Design Department realized a modern interpretation of Art Déco style. The style is reflect ed in the wide and rich variety of precious and refined materials. ok..i? will do it..
@torTIja yes but her fuel cost is very much lower then? a motor yacht the same size.
@iamloudmusic high generator fuel costs remain the same besides costs for good? crew and rigg maintenance works etc.
@shananagans5 ;-)) Great? answer and great project!
it is a thing of beauty, as would be the? bank account that funds it.
I just love Perini Navi. I am saving up for? one of these. I am putting away $500 a month and in 4,000 yrs that baby is mine.
@iamloudmusic I can think of a few reasons: 1) a motor yacht of the same length is a lot shallower, allowing access to more ports. 2) a motor? yacht of the same length has a lot more volume, which brings more accommodation, more crew for service etc. 3) because a motor yacht doesn’t heel while underway, which a lot of people don’t like and 4) because motor yachts have more freeboard (usually) according to designs. I’d feel a lot safer in a steel hulled expedition yacht than a Perini.
@kylibar for example a wally yacht? with 6,5 million is not like a motor yyacht with 100 million! i think sailboats are more beautiful than die moter yachts! think about who you are !
a colleague in the workshop has two of this…?
