At CES, LG Electronics underscored its commitment to the plasma HDTV category with eight new models for 2010, led by the new LG INFINIA series which represents the best in LGs design, technology and entertainment options. Featuring new picture-enhancing technology and lightweight designs in a variety of screen sizes, four new plasma series the INFINIA PK950 and PK750, as well as the PK550 and PJ350 were introduced. Design and Picture Enhancement LG has completely redesigned its plasma line for 2010, resulting in plasma sets that are slimmer and lighter than ever before. At only around two-inches in depth, the 2010 models are approximately 37 percent thinner than previous models and dramatically lighter. In the most extreme case, the weight of a 60-inch plasma HDTV was reduced by more than 40 percent to a svelte 95 pounds. LGs new plasma series includes stunning new designs, such as the single-layer design of the PK750 and PK950, and the TruSlim Frame on the PK550 and PJ350 models, which boasts a bezel width of just 0.9-inches. Wireless capability contributes to the freedom of infinite entertainment possibilities. Setting a new standard in picture quality, the PK750 and PK950 models have achieved THX Display Certification*. @SimonSerenade I dont get your point really. Plasmas today are better than most lcd’s in gaming aswell… soo there’s no point going for LCD’s anymore since all problems plasmas used ot have are gone! :)
LCD was originally designed only for still images, thats why they have so much problems ans even their colors are mostly over-saturated no matter how well you calbrate them,, not to mention worse black levels.
i got a samsung 50″ 540 series in my room it pree much looks the same
@ultum4tegunz yes its a 2010 model and they plan on making more alot of people dont realize that plasma technology has jumped leaps and bounds from “burning” issues. Plus its about maintaining your tv even lcd’s will burn when you leave it on a still image for 6hrs+ Just some info for everyone out there, there’s this wonderful thing called a sleep button set the time you think you will be awake or around and the tv shuts off when the time is up. Problem solved : )

Beware with? LG plasmas: some of the panels suffer from floating blacks (look at the videos in my profile to see how bad they are) and LG, while admitting that their plasmas do it, they don’t acknowledge it as a problem.
