Is Plasma TVs better for watching standard definition ?
I watch international channels from dishnetwork , they are only available in standard def . To watch standard def channels on a large screen , do you guys think plasma is better then LCD ?
Buy the way the transition from analog to digital has costed people alot of money . The HDTVs can cost $ 1000s , the extra cost for equipment and HDTV channels and monthly cost for subscribing to HD channels is extra burden on common people . It was easier and simpler to watch analog tv on a picture tube tv. Any ideas ?

It is cheaper for television stations to use digital less bandwidth there is really no way to fix plasma so if you buy one make sure it is name brand and that you get the longest extended warranty they sell.

Yes, plasma is better to watch non high Def TV. My son has a Sharp LCD and I have Panasonic plasma, the picture on the plasma is far better

Yes , plasma tvs would show standard def better than lcd . If you plan to keep the standard def channels then go for plasma tv.
