Can a plasma tv become damaged due to overheating?
I own a 42 inch Philips plasma television and I've noticed that it runs extremely hot. Is this tv built to withstand the heat and is it safe to continue to use the television when its really hot?

PLASMAS will run hot....that is the nature of the beast.
AS LONG as you don't place the TV in an area where a part of the plasma unit could be subject to major COLD......you should be ok....
I wouldn't want to see it near a door to the outside....
And yes.....it is safe to use it when it's hot......
