That’s what a TV repairman told me. LCD maybe the norm. But don’t let that stop you.

Yes there was a big article on Yahoo tech. They said that they were only being made by Panasonic in the future because they didn’t last too long and were too expensive to repair. LCD is more better, but now there is another tv made with LED and that, although expensive is much better than all the others put together.
The choice is yours my friend. Good luck!

I don’t know where you get your information from. Plasma tv is still the best in providing picture quality compare to LCD or LED tvs. Evey manufacturer are making LCD and LED due to the size. Let me share something with you, I purchased a Pioneer Plasma in 2002 and it is still running strong, while my LCD purchased in 2006 is already burned out. If you see all the question posted in yahoo you will find allot of problem from LCD tv vs the plasma. The life span of the new plasma and lcd are about 100,000 hours. Go online to Home Theater magazine and read the pro’s and con’s for plasma and lcd tv. You’ll find that Plasma is a much better tv. LCD is very strong when used as a screen for video games due to it’s bright picture. Hope that this will help you.

It will stay around for a while as LCD is still compete with Plasma in some areas.
